Rest well, Itty Bitty Stella Kitty
Stella passed this past Wednesday, at 4:30. She was 21. She had melted away to almost nothing, poor little thing.
I’ll write more when it’s not so fresh.

I have been very lucky for the past few months. While Isis has been having trouble this year, the kitties have been healthy this fall and winter. Stella has been doing very well, even though I have not been good about getting to the vet for her fluids. Ambush still seems to be doing well…
The kitties have been downstairs now for two weeks. They are absolutely loving the extra space. They follow me around the house, sit next to me on the couch, and now have even more places to hide their toys. They do get on the table, but not on the kitchen counter. I can live with…
Kiesha had a urinary tract infection. She has been on Clavamox (antibiotic) for a few days and is not doing well on them. She keeps throwing up. Poor kitty. She’s being switched to an injectable antibiotic. Hopefully this time it will help… Ambush and Stella both seem to be doing better. Their UTIs have passed…

The mass under Kiesha’s chin has continued to grow. She doesn’t come downstairs to greet me any more. In fact, she’s only been coming downstairs once or twice per week. She purrs hesitantly when she see me, like an engine with a rough idle. It’s hard to listen to her purr. She is having a…

Her time here was long, and she was a lovely companion for a very long time. I know it’s still difficult, even when you knew that the time would come. This has been a very difficult year for you, between Stella and Ambush–know that you’re in my thoughts.
Thank you. Stella was an amazing little kitty who was blessed with a long life and 95% function right up to the end (except for the last 2 days of her life). I was really lucky to have her.
I’ll post about what actually happened after a while. It is just a little too fresh to really write about it yet.
