Update on Kasane

She is definitely feeling better and is moving around a lot more. She even cantered along the fence when I brought her hay. My friend at the barn helped me take a video of Kasane at the walk and trot. She’s gimpy at the trot, especially when slowing down to the walk. She’s completely off of pain killers now.

Sorry about the video being at odd angles. I opted to upload the video without trying to edit so I could send it to my vet. We’re almost due for the follow-up exam.

  • Spoke too soon…

I should have known better. Isis is lame again today. Again, seems impossible to tell exactly which leg or area is causing the lameness. No swelling. No heat in her legs or feet. Maybe just ouchiness? It’s been almost a week since the trail ride. I did find something interesting: she did not want to…

  • Kids and Jitters

The best way to quell pre-performance jitters is to go to the barn. While horses make some people nervous, they are my sanity. If I’m upset, just touching Isis is usually enough to calm me down. I dragged my dance instructor today to the barn. She didn’t mind because she also has horses. (In fact,…
