The Grey Wonder Mare™ is really doing well. The swelling has continued to go down. The cut is now about the size of my thumbnail. It looks great! She is still a little lame on it — means she probably has some tendon damage to get over. We’ll keep working on things now that the skin is closing up.
Overall, very good progress. (Except I got the vet bill. Ouch. Yay equine medical insurance!)

No saddle that fits properly so we’re going to ride bareback. This should be fun since Kasane isn’t crazy about having dangly legs on her side without the saddle. A good learning opportunity. My legs are going to be in great shape. Related Images:
The farrier came out today and had some excellent news. Even after Isis had a mild case of laminitis, her feet are in excellent shape. The white-line growth is normal and she isn’t lame any more. As far as he was concerned, her feet were good enough to start riding again. Six weeks pasture rest…
