Pain in my rump

I bruised my tailbone after riding back in the beginning of April and I’m still not back in the saddle. It’s driving me a little crazy not being able to ride. We have had some beautiful weather that is perfect for riding.

But I’m stuck. The orthopedist was finally able to see me. He said that my back looks good overall. I’m in good shape. So we decided on injections near the tailbone to alleviate any swelling and help things return to normal.

I go back in two weeks for another check up. We’ll see how this goes.

None of the bridles were the right size for my mares. I found one, but after careful thinking (and much “but it’s a Stubben!” reasoning), I ended up…

She carefully walked around, picking her way through the paddock to walk over to me. I rubbed her down with liniment and walked her…

  • Vet update on Prize

The vet came out today around noon and saw Prize. She was much lamer today than she was yesterday. We added extra bedding to her stall for some extra padding. She still just looked like she hurt, poor girl. The vet had some good news: he’s almost 100% sure it’s not laminitis (yay!). He thinks…
