Everything OK post-Florence
Everything has been fine, post-Florence. The hurricane itself took a more southerly path and pretty much avoided my area entirely. Horses were fine in the barn. We got some rain and big gusts, but no damage to my property or at the barn. We were lucky. The worst part was the rain that followed the…
Roofers are coming! The Roofers are coming!
Whoever coined the phrase “happy homeowner” should be shot. I like my house, but you know I’ve had to repair almost every major system in the house since I bought it. It gets old after a while. Money pit, but at least it’s an investment (small comfort when you look at the checking account balance)….

Filling in Blog Posts for France Trip
I may start filling in what happened while I was in France by creating blog entries for the actual dates with brief details of what we did. It will mean that posts will be written one day but dated another. I can include a note on the post for the actual date it was written….

Okay, I’m pissed. On October 20, I ordered five DVDs on belly dance from Amazon.com. All of the titles said they were in stock at the time of ordering. None of them listed “this items takes 2-3 days to ship.” Nothing like that. Everything said in stock and ready to go. Initially, I chose standard…
