Weekend blahs and Ambush

Okay, so I’m incredibly lazy this weekend. I’ve done some work for clients, but mostly I’ve stayed in bed and slept. I am trying to kick this sinus infection and it seems hopeless. It just hangs on, like a leech.

On a funny note… Ambush has started playing with this blue strip of rabbit fur. He tosses it in the air and chases after it. Good to see him playing (and sliding across the laminate floor) considering how sick he was earlier in the year. His insulin dose is definitely doing the trick to help him feel better.

I went back and read through some of the posts about Basette. She was on a dose of 11-15 units. Compare that with Ambush’s 4 unit dose. Amazing.

It has been a while since my last post. What, two months? It’s been hell here between work pressure, horse issues, and then my own back/leg problem. I am going to write posts and back date them to the time when they actually happened. I’ve often used the blog archives as a reminder of when…

  • Dance Class

Dance class was a BLAST tonight! First, we were drilled on some techniques. The instructor really worked us hard — which was great. And tiring. For some reason, it is easier for me to learn more complicated dance moves than it is very simple ons. We were layering dance moves one on top of the…

  • Glasses?!

Funny thing happened today: I inherited my Mom’s eyes. My parents had eye sight from opposite ends of the spectrum: Dad was horribly myopic, and Mom was slightly farsighted. My sister inherited Dad’s eyes: she was legally blind (without her glasses) before she entered high school. I was slightly nearsighted in middle school. I got…

  • Hidalgo re-watch

Tack cleaning time, so I always watch a horse movie when cleaning the saddle and bridle. The choice for tonight was Hidalgo. It is such a pleasure to see Viggo Mortensen ride. Because he can actually ride and is a horse person. He apparently did most of the riding himself, including the bareback gallop at…
