I just read a review on io9 of Season of the Witch. It looks so cheesy. SO cheesy as to be good in a bad way.
I could not resist. Nic Cage and Ron Perlman in a campy movie that has scenes with hommages to Monty Python? I am so there. 🙂

Season of the Witch WAS cheesy, as per most Nic Cage movies. The Rite looks a little more interesting and at least has Sir Anthony Hopkins to lend it some class!
Season of the Witch wasn’t too bad. It was some where in between cheesy and trying to take itself seriously. Kept feeling like Ron Perlman was trying to get Nic Cage to lighten up. Ron Perlman made an awesome knight.
Not even going to touch the “historical accuracy” of the movie. It took place in a fantasy realm as far as I’m concerned.
The Rite looks very interesting. You know it will have some good acting with Sir Anthony in there. 🙂

Matt Smith eventually grows on you, but he doesn’t have David Tennant’s power/presence. Did you see DT in Hamlet or Cassanova? Nom.
