Stella recovers her spunk

I have been sitting at work all day worrying about Stella. She seemed so small this morning and last night, like she didn’t feel good and didn’t want to be here any more. I called the vet and made an appointment for fluids because that usually helps her.

I also had The Conversation with the vet about knowing when it’s time to let your kitty go. I was very upset but pushed through it. Decided there was nothing I could do until I got home and saw how Stella was.

I got home to take Stella to the vet and she immediately woke up when I touched her tail. (Improvement #1!)

She pushed her head into my hand and rubbed all over my hand. She purred and pushed her head against me and wanted pettings pettings pettings now now now. (Improvement #2!) She played with a sock I trailed across the bet and then batted at me to pet her some more. Little kitty recovered her spunk 🙂

It’s not time yet, she’s saying (to a very relieved me). At some point soon it will be, but not today.

Initally, Stella seemed to be a little better this afternoon. I stayed home with her and she seemed to be walking and trotting around the apartment. Just a little wobbly but not much. He’s lost more weight (12 pounds instead of 13.8), so that needs to be monitored. We checked his urine to make sure he wasn’t in kitosis (nope,…

  • Stella. Again.

Stella is having trouble again. She has been doing so well for the past two months. She has decided that she prefers Ambush’s high protein food to her own lower protein dry food. She won’t eat her dry food now. I’m feeding her wet food but I have to constantly keep Ambush out of it….
