Ambush on the Upbeat
This past weekend I drove to NC to visit my sister for her birthday. Whenever I travel, I have to put Ambush, the White Wonder Cat(tm), into the kennel so he can receive his insulin shots. After my last trip to Mom’s in late January, the vet said that Ambush was doing well. His glucose tests were within the lower normal range. We reduced his dose from 4 to 3 units twice per day.
This last weekend was even better news. His glucose was 109 — low end of normal range. The vet suggested that we try taking him off of insulin entirely for a while and monitor him closely. This is excellent news! Maybe the White Wonder Cat is in diabetic remission (or whatever you call it).
