As timber engineers, we do get asked to build a lot of unusual things – things which other framing companies couldn’t even attempt. This was, perhaps, one of the more unusual.
The ballista was successfully built and managed to fire a very heavy stone ball some 127 yards. (Remember, these things used to successfully lay siege to entire cities.)

The results from the biopsy came back and showed that Isis’ problems were caused by an allergic reaction. What she reacted to, we don’t know yet. I’d be willing to guess that it was something tied in with the rain rot she had (which is now gone). Related Images:

I’ve been trying to get things unpacked in the apartment. Some days, like Wednesday, I’m super productive. Other days, like today, I’m not even close. I unpacked maybe one box tonight.
