Allergies. Joy.
Yesterday I went to the doctor for this sinus obnoxious thing I’ve developed. She gave me a prescription for sulfa-based antibiotics and sent me home. I took my first dose last night.
Looks like I’m allergic to sulpha-based antibioitics. I broke out in a rash that has moved all over my legs and arms. I called the doctor when the front desk receptionist pointed out that I could be having an allergic reaction.
The nurse at the doctor’s office said that I should immediately stop taking the antibioitics and find some antihistamines. Antihistamines knock me out big time — 20 minutes after I take them I can’t stay awake.
The doctor is going to call me in a new prescription.
I’ve never had an allergic reaction to a medicine before. Not something I really want to repeat.
