At 8:00 AM this morning, my cell phone rang. Remember those calls I was dreading last week? Well I got one today. Isis had a mild colic episode this morning. It was easily resolved and treated. The vet exam showed that Isis’ left side is weaker than her right. To correct this, I am supposed to work Isis at least every other day, weather permitting. I have pictures of Isis all over my cube. Her face is the background on my cell phone. I carry several hundred megabytes worth of pictures of her every where I go on my MP3 player. It is almost impossible to express how much I miss her. It’s like having your sanity in another state……

After her hock issues, we’ve been evaluating everything with Kasane to try and help her as much as we can. The farrier was out and had a good talk with my vet about some shoe ideas for Kasane. She has her front shoes on backwards now. This helps alleviate pressure from her front suspensory issue…
