December 4th was my first concert with RTOOT. So. Much. Fun. Even with all of the other crazy stuff going on, I’m really glad I’ve been playing with them. Four oboes in an orchestra. Who would have thought that would work?

The theme for the concert was “Ten years of terrible,” since this was the 10th anniversary of RTOOT. Here’s what we played:
Overture to “Zampa” – Herold
“Ashokan Farewell” – Unger
“Marche Slav” – Tchaikovsky arr. Rosenhaus
“Leroy Anderson Favorites” – Anderson arr. Custer
– “Blue Tango”
– “Belle of the Ball”
– “The Syncopated Clock”
– “Serenata”
“Star Wars Main Theme” – Williams arr. Sayer
“James Bond Medley” – arr. Lopez
– “The James Bond Theme” – Norman
– “For Your Eyes Only” – Conti
– “Goldfinger” – Barry
– “Live and Let Die” – McCartney & McCartney
– “Nobody Does It Better” – Hamlisch
“English Folk Songs Suite” – Williams arr. Jacob
– “Seventeen Come Sunday”
– “My Bonny Boy”
– “Folk Songs from Somerset”
